This 20 mL Luer Lock syringe is used for sample preparation in Phosphate HR and Nitrate photometer test procedures.

For Phosphate HR, the syringe connects to the Filter Paper Adapter and is used to push the sample through a 25 mm GF/C filter paper.

For Nitrate, the syringe is used to measure 20 mL of sample water as required by the test procedure. No filter paper or filter adapter is used for the Nitrate measurement.

The 20 mL Luer Lock syringe is used for sample preparation in Phosphate HR and Nitrate testing, with a different purpose for each method.

  • Phosphate HR: Connect the syringe to the Filter Paper Adapter containing a 25 mm GF/C filter paper, then push the sample through the filter as required by the test procedure.
  • Nitrate: Use the syringe to measure 20 mL of sample water as required by the test procedure. The filter adapter and GF/C filter paper are not used for this measurement.

Storage & Shelf Life

Store the syringe in a clean, dry place, protected from dust and contamination.

  • Storage: Keep clean and dry between uses.
  • Shelf life: No defined expiry date under normal storage and use. Replace if damaged, cracked, or if the plunger or Luer Lock connection no longer works properly.

Do I use the syringe in the same way for Phosphate HR and Nitrate?

No. For Phosphate HR, the syringe is used for filtration with the Filter Paper Adapter and GF/C filter paper. For Nitrate, it is used to measure 20 mL of sample water. Always consult the user manual for your photometer and test method for the correct procedure.

Do I need the adapter and filter papers?
