What this product does
The refillable glass pH probe is used to measure the pH of water solutions, including TRIS buffer and high-temperature samples up to 100 °C. It connects to the ProbeBOX 1.0 A/D switch box for use with PrimeLab 2.0 or a compatible Android smartphone, supporting pH testing in laboratory applications.

Storage and care

Storage & Care

Keep the pH electrode sensing end wet in 3M KCl storage solution when not in use for extended periods. Do not store in distilled water. Keep the electrolyte level no more than 1 cm below the filling opening, and top up with fresh 3M KCl solution when needed. After refilling, soak the electrode in 3M KCl solution for 1 hour or overnight, then recalibrate.

  • Shelf life: No defined expiry date. Proper storage and regular electrolyte top-ups help maintain the electrode’s condition and measurement performance.

Questions about this product

Is this electrode refillable?

Yes. Top up the electrolyte with fresh 3M KCl solution whenever the level drops more than 1 cm below the filling opening. After refilling, soak the electrode in 3M KCl solution for 1 hour or overnight, then recalibrate.

What does the electrode connect to?

It connects to the ProbeBOX 1.0 A/D switch box, which links it to the PrimeLab 2.0 photometer or a compatible Android smartphone. Only ProbeBOX electrodes can be used, because they have a controller in the BNC plug that lets the system recognise them.

Can I test high-temperature samples with this electrode?

Yes. It measures with automatic temperature compensation from 0–100 °C. Water-i.d. lists high-temperature solutions up to 100 °C among its suitable applications, along with TRIS buffer, salt water, beverages, wine and beer.
